More than 300 years ago, colonists established the first permanent European settlement in the Carolinas on these grounds.

Today, this protected historic site and nature preserve interpret the story of the 17th century settlement. Charles Towne Landing has much to see and do including the Animal Forest, Living History and Archaeological sites, as well as many more attractions.
